Feels Like Spring!
Well today it felt like spring and we took full advantage of it. Yes, I did too. I actually went outside and enjoyed a nice day with my family. We got so much done around the house today and had a great time doing it.
Davis loves to drive and ride all the toys. He is getting good at driving all by himself.Tommy and Maecee roasting hotdogs.Maecee enjoying her hotdog.Maecee, Davis, and I roasting marshmallows for dessert.Maecee loved the marshmallows. She didn't like them roasted, just plain.Davis just chillin' after a few marshmallows. He found this hat after nap time and wore it the rest of the day. After a long day of working hard. The kiddos had a bath and were enjoying some "still time" before bed.

Update!
Just wanted to post some new pictures of Christmas and up to now. We all had a great Christmas. Of course, like always, the break was too quick. Tommy actually got off the entire break this year and we really enjoyed spending time as a family. I think it was therapeutic for all of us. I dreaded school starting back, but it was actually good to back into a routine.
The kids liked Uncle Ricky. He played rough with them. I hope his back has recovered! Maecee liked helping Aunt Carol cook and give Roxy a bath. She still talks about Roxy!
On the break, the kids and I went to Oklahoma. We stayed with Ricky and Carol. We saw Bennett, Betty, and their family. We ate good, the kids had fun and got lots of attention. It was a good trip. We came back and did Christmas here with just the 4 of us. We stayed at the house for New Years Eve. Our street had a block party and we got some small fireworks for the kids. There was a great fireworks show in our neighborhood, but the kids were already asleep. On New Years Day, Tommy and I went to the Cotton Bowl. We got to visit with a lot of family on Tommy's side and had a great time.
Last weekend, Tommy's aunt and cousin from Virginia came to visit and stayed Saturday night. It was good to see them and catch up. We wish Carrie all the luck starting her new school in Arizona!
Tommy and I tailgating before the Cotton bowl. It was a great kid- free trip! Tommy and I really enjoyed ourselves, seeing family, and the game (even though we didn't win)!
Maecee and Davis enjoying ice cream cones. I have the tiny cones and I put chocolate and strawberry cool whip on them. The kids love them and it is a little better than ice cream. Thanks for the idea Akram!
This Tonka dump truck was a Christmas gift from Grand and Papa. It has been a huge hit around the house. The kids are always hauling stuff around in it (including each other) and Davis loves to just push it around.
Maecee had a parent day at her dance class recently. She was so proud we were there to watch. She is such a precious part of our family....most of the time....lol

Thank You Santa!
The kids were excited about their gift from Santa. They have been on it almost all day! Davis was sitting on the floorboard in the 2nd picture. He is so content just to let Maecee drive him around. Which is a good thing, because Maecee is definitely the take charge kind of girl who wants to be in the drivers seat.

Merry Christmas!
I hope everyone is having a great holiday season! We have visited Santa twice and he came by our house on the fire truck. Maecee is absolutely in love with Santa. When Santa asks her what she wants for Christmas, both times she has said, "a toothbrush." Who knows? Last Saturday we went to a local putt putt place. They were having a Christmas festival. Maecee and Davis got to decorate cookies, see Santa, do crafts, and play. They had fun.

Football/ Birthday
Tommy and I had a fun filled football weekend. Friday we dropped the kids off in Huntsville at a friends house. We drove to College Station to watch Texas Tech defeat A&M. When that game was over we drove to Austin and watched the University of Texas play. Needless to say I was footballed out!
Today was Tommy's birthday. The kids and I had him a little party at the house. He is getting a new smoker for his birthday. He is leaving tomorrow to recruit in Kansas. He won't be back until Sunday.
Tommy and I in College Station at the Texas Tech vs. A&M game. The proud birthday Daddy. Maecee couldn't wait to eat some cake.
Maecee wanted to help Daddy blow out his candles. She asked me before he got home and I told her to ask Daddy when he got home. She was so sweet. She said, "Daddy can I please help you!" It is so nice to see Maecee happy and using her manners.Maecee with a messy cake face.
